“Invite a Friend & Win” Campaign
- Definitions
- BKT – Banka Kombetare Tregtare sh.a., with address: Rruga e Vilave, Lunder 1, 1045, Albania, the provider of the “Invite a Friend & Win” campaign within the BKT Smart application.
- Referring Client – An existing BKT client and user the BKT Smart application, who generates a personal referral code and shares it with friends to invite them to register in the application.
- Referral Code – A unique personal and non-transferable code generated by the Referring Client through the BKT Smart application to be used by Friends during their first-time registration in BKT Smart as new BKT clients, enabling the referral to be identified as valid.
- Friend- An individual who does not have a BKT Smart account and who registers on the BKT Smart application using the Referral Code.
- Program – The promotional campaign “Invite a Friend & Win”, which enables the Referring Client to receive a bonus when the invited Friend successfully registers in BKT Smart using the Referral Code and meets the criteria defined in this document.
- Fake Account - Accounts created solely for the purpose of obtaining referral rewards without real activity, which are later closed within a short period or left inactive for a long time.
- Participation in the Program
- By Participating in the Program, you confirm that you have read and accepted these Terms and Conditions.
- The Program is valid only for individual clients who have an active account in BKT Smart.
- The referral code may only be used during the first-time registration process of the invited Friend in BKT Smart.
- Criteria for a Successful Referral
- The invited Friend completes registration as a BKT client for the first time, 100% online through BKT Smart, using the referral code provided by the Referring Client while the code is valid. - Within one month from the date of first-time registration in BKT Smart, the Friend must complete a valid transaction of more than 1,000 ALL.
- Rewards
The bonus is credited to the primary ALL account of the Referring Client after the referral is verified by BKT.
The Referring Client may invite an unlimited number of friends and will be rewarded for all successful referrals according to the criteria in this document, up to a maximum total reward of 50,000 ALL.
BKT reserves the right to verify the validity of transactions and may refuse those considered suspicious, manipulative, or performed with the intention of unfair gain. The client acknowledges and agrees that they will not raise any claim, compensation request, or complaint against the Bank, now or in the future, as a result of the application of these rights, irrevocably waiving any such right.
BKT staff are excluded from benefiting from the ‘Invite & Win’ campaign bonus.
- Rules for Using the Referral Code
- The user must not share the referral code in misleading or aggressive ways, continuously or contrary to data protection legislation.
- The creation of temporary accounts, use of false identities, simulation of transactions, or any action that deceives or manipulates the Program is prohibited.
- The Referral Code may not be sold, transferred, or made available to third parties in exchange for compensation or in any indirect form.
- Using the Referral Code does not automatically guarantee a reward. The reward depends on verification and fulfillment of the criteria by BKT.
- BKT reserves the right to request additional confirmations or documentation if there is suspicion that the referral was made irregularly or in violation of these Terms and Conditions
- The Referring User and the Friend are responsible for using the Referral Code in accordance with Albanian legislation and any other applicable regulatory requirements.
- BKT bears no responsibility for any direct and indirect, accidental, special, or consequential loss that may occur from participating in the Program, including but not limited to loss of income, reputational damage, technical issues, application malfunction, or any other material or immaterial damage.
- BKT shall not be held responsible for:
- incorrect use of the referral code by the Referring User,
- failure of the invited Friend to complete registration,
- invalid transactions or transactions that do not meet the criteria,
- technical delays, internet issues, or service interruptions.
- BKT reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the Program at any time, unilaterally and without any prior notice. The client agrees that they will have no right to raise any complaint, compensation claim, or request regarding the modification, suspension, or termination of the Program.
- Privacy and Personal Data
- Personal data is processed by BKT solely for the purpose of implementing the “Invite a Friend & Win” campaign, verifying referrals, and rewarding participants. BKT may use data including name, contact details, ID, transaction information, and referral usage data for verification and for internal audit and control purposes. BKT will not share the Referring Client’s data with the invited Friend and vice versa, except when required by law or competent authorities.
- The data is retained until the end of the campaign and for the audit period required by banking legislation.
- The processing of personal data is carried out in compliance with Law No. 124/2024 and the regulations of the Albanian DPA as part of BKT’s Privacy Policy.
